# Cordless Drill — Quick Reference

**Model:** 18V compact drill/driver
**Included:** drill, charger, 2x battery packs, carrying case

## Basic operation

1. Slide the battery into the base until it clicks.
2. Set the clutch collar (numbered 1–20, plus the drill-bit icon for full power).
3. Squeeze the trigger — further squeeze increases speed. Reverse switch is above the trigger.
4. To change bits: hold the collar behind the chuck, twist to open, insert bit, twist closed.

## Maintenance

- Store batteries at partial charge if not using for >1 month.
- Keep the chuck free of dust; wipe down after outdoor use.
- Do not submerge — wipe with a damp cloth only.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| Won't turn on | Battery not seated, or dead — try the spare |
| Weak torque | Clutch set too low for the task |
| Chuck won't open | Bit jammed — tap gently while twisting |
